Job Title: Irrigation Crew Leader
Location:  Wentzville, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Irrigation Crew Leader 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Crew Leader to oversee daily operations of irrigation installations and maintenance for residential and commercial landscapes. This individual will be responsible for leading a crew, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining project timelines and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise an irrigation crew on installation, maintenance, and repair projects

• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and irrigation schematics

• Install and maintain irrigation systems, including valves, piping, controllers, and sprinkler heads

• Troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation system issues such as leaks, wiring problems, and water pressure concerns

• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and client specifications

• Train and mentor crew members in proper techniques and safety practices

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on job sites

• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project managers

• Manage tools, materials, and inventory to reduce waste and ensure readiness

• Operate machinery and equipment, including trenchers, pipe pullers, and hand tools

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in irrigation or landscaping is a plus

• Minimum 2 years of experience in irrigation system installation and repair

• Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience required

• Strong knowledge of irrigation components, brands (e.g., Hunter, Rain Bird), and water management techniques

• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Backflow certification and/or Irrigation Technician License preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
