Job Description

We are seeking a talented and visionary Stylist to bring vibrancy and creativity to our projects through the powers of storytelling and style; blending this with acute skills in communication, planning and client services.

About Us:

At Untethered Studio, we design, build and finish unique workspaces. Our mission is to transform interiors into thoughtful, expressive environments that reflect individuality, spark inspiration, and evoke imagination and emotion. We provide comprehensive storytelling from high-level conceptual design through the finishing touches.

Role Overview:

As a Stylist with a focus on art and decor, you’ll be the creative force behind the finishing touches that elevate a space from beautiful to breathtaking. You’ll collaborate with our design team, clients, and artists and vendors to source, curate, and style artwork, accessories, textiles, and decorative objects that elevate and enhance interior design concepts. Your keen eye for aesthetics, storytelling ability, and deep understanding of spatial harmony will be essential in creating memorable, award-winning spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete commercial interiors with a refined selection of art, decor, and accessories.
  • Source decorative items, bespoke furnishings, and found objects that bring our and our clients’ visions to life.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of styling into the overall design.
  • Develop mood boards, style guides, and presentation materials to convey design direction.
  • Create specifications and work with the Studio’s Procurement team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage styling installations, including art hanging, decor placement, and final on-site touches.
  • Cultivate relationships with brands, vendors, and artisans to maintain a dynamic and unique inventory.
  • Stay ahead of trends in interior design while maintaining timeless sensibilities.
  • Support visual storytelling for portfolio photography, social media, and marketing materials.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in interior styling, set design, visual merchandising, or related field.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing interior styling projects, particularly those with a focus on art and decor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of art history, contemporary design, and global and pop cultural decor influences.
  • Exceptional visual and spatial awareness.
  • Excellent sourcing and curation skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel for installations, site visits, and sourcing as needed.

What We Offer:

  • A collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Opportunities to work on high-profile and diverse design projects.
  • Travel to sites throughout North America.
  • Generous benefits for a small, growth-oriented company.
  • Access to a curated network of artists, galleries, and design professionals.
  • The chance to shape spaces that truly resonate.
