SMT Operator, $20/hr – Farmington Hills, MI – 1st Shift

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment preferred.
• Soldering experience required (through-hole and/or surface mount).
• Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

Skills:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust SMT machinery during production runs.
• Perform hand soldering of components with high precision and attention to detail.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and production documentation.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers for quality checks.
• Inspect solder joints and components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating surface mount equipment and performing hand soldering of components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). You’ll inspect for defects, ensure machine functionality, and maintain clean, organized work areas. This role is ideal for someone with solid soldering experience and an interest in electronic assembly. After your time with Workbox, you will be considered for hire-in!
