Opportunity Description:

We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Associate with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) , minimum 5 years of healthcare experience , and the ability to work onsite in the Bronx, 5 days per week . This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance and regulatory integrity within a respected health plan that prioritizes compassionate, community-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with senior management, the Regulatory Affairs Associate will:

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and process contracts and amendments in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
  • Manage and track submissions of delegated agreements and related documentation for governmental approvals.
  • Develop and oversee systems for contract organization and status tracking.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate provider communications related to audits, surveys, compliance attestations, and other regulatory needs.
  • Interpret and apply guidance from the OIG, OMIG, CMS, and DOH to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Regularly review and update compliance documentation, including policies, manuals, and procedural handbooks.
  • Disseminate and interpret relevant memos, updates, and alerts from regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise and support departmental staff and oversee project execution and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience , preferably in regulatory affairs, managed care, or healthcare compliance.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, credentialing compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong supervisory skills and prior experience leading teams or managing staff.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with CMS, DOH, OIG, and OMIG standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Bronx office 5 days per week .
