Position Summary The Project Engineer applies engineering fundamentals to support the division's engineering and design activities. The role involves interacting with all departments to provide engineering support for manufacturing, integration, and testing, and may include providing work leadership for junior staff. Duties And Responsibilities Functions

ESSENTIAL

Provide technical support for Autonomous Transport System products. Coordinate and supervise design work and engineering analysis. Create complete design packages, specifications, and test procedures. Review progress and evaluate work results. Complete engineering tasks independently, considering various features and requirements. Manage projects of moderate scope. Develop project scope, collaborate on schedules, and prepare test reports. Estimate hours required to meet technical and scheduling objectives and coordinate work accordingly. Review the completion and implementation of technical products. Convert customer requirements into total system solutions systematically. Maintain the Systems Engineering Program per customer and project requirements, including hazard analyses and FMEAs. Analyze and develop design approaches for projects, consolidating mechanical design elements. Demonstrate excellent technical judgment and independent evaluation. Develop and apply advanced engineering design methods and research techniques. Generate work instructions and test procedures. Interact with customer representatives to define and manage expectations. Participate in Technical Working Groups to assess and improve processes. Provide technical consultation to other organizations as needed. Review relevant literature, patents, and current practices. Assist in bid and proposal efforts with technical approach definitions. Evaluate vendor capabilities for required products or services. Provide technical support and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, with relevant knowledge and experience. 5-10 years of practical experience in mechanical, electrical, or control engineering. Ability to lead technical groups and interact with customer representatives. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, Altium, Matlab). Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for technical and project reports. Practical knowledge of engineering principles within related fields.

DESIRED

Master’s degree in a related field. Experience in automotive or automation industries.
