24 hours/week
Position Summary:

The Groundskeeper will maintain, improve and sustain an attractive exterior/landscaping environment for the Hillcrest residents to safely enjoy, while working within the established budget levels. Adhere to all rules, guidelines and grounds care as defined by the State of Montana and the City of Bozeman. Develop an exterior landscaping grounds and street plan to adequately address irrigation of lawns and plants, mowing, weeding, edging, trimming, gardening, snow removal, parking lot maintenance and street maintenance. Operate all landscaping and snow removal equipment. Requires weekend, early morning, late evening hours for snow removal.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Driver's License
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral/written instructions
• One year of landscaping and ground care experience

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure all lawns, gardens and plants are adequately watered - including the operation/upkeep of the irrigation sprinkler systems
• Maintain all lawn/landscaping by planting, mowing, weeding, edging, fertilizing and trimming
• Prune, shape, replace, plant and detail care of all plants, trees and garden areas
• Snow removal from all parking lots, streets and sidewalks
• Maintain parking lot, sidewalk and street care including sweeping, ice melting, sanding, striping and concrete/asphalt replacement
• Maintain sprinkler system, landscaping equipment and snow removal equipment
• Oversee contracting services for fertilizing, concrete repairs, asphalt repairs and striping

• Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work varied shifts
• Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality

• Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment
• Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight
• Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills
