The Field Education Specialist serves a key role in supporting the TimberHP sales and marketing team to educate dealers, contractors, specifiers, and insulation installers through product knowledge workshops, dealer promotional events, and through jobsite demonstrations and technical support field calls. The field education specialist is also a key sales contact for regional and national installers and makes regular sales calls to educate and troubleshoot.
The Sales Manager and regional outside sales team will leverage this individual for ride-alongs to target key dealers and prospective customers.
The Director of Building Science and Industry Support will seek technical assistance and R&D support from the Field Education Specialist, while occasionally deploying them to support specific customers on jobsites. The Field Education Specialist will follow up on technical inquiries through email and phone conversations and serve as a resource to the inside sales and technical support team, as well as the outside sales team.
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager but also interacts frequently with the Marketing Manager to address scheduling activities related to outreach and market support. Data collected for customer resource management, industry prospecting, and product and program development will be funneled through the Sales Manager and directly to inside and outside sales teams.
This position requires a deep understanding of building science coupled with extensive industry field work. The ideal candidate has building science credentials, experience educating consumers and tradespeople, can interpret and communicate architectural details and specifications, and is well versed in building forensics and code standards. A comprehensive understanding of energy retrofit strategies and regional weatherization initiatives is required.
