ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Event Security for ASM Global Stockton Complex. This position is responsible for patrolling our venues during events, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and vendors while on premise. You may also be responsible for securing property during load in/out for events at our venues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include enforcing building security and safety rules, which may include wanding, visual searches and/or pat downs of guests; standing guard during events and touring post periodically to ensure the safety of guests, staff, vendors, etc.; providing event security in front of house (stage) as well as back of house; handling disturbances or problems that arise during events and escorting disruptive individuals off the premises if necessary; maintaining objectivity and professionalism when responding to agitated individuals and possessing verbal skills to prevent escalation; writing incident reports and meeting with security supervisor to review procedures; assisting with crowd control inside and outside of the venues; acting in a professional manner with guests, staff, clients, vendors, etc.; maintaining a clean, neat appearance at all times; and other duties as assigned. There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. Qualifications include possession of a valid guard card and California’s driver’s license. Employment is based solely on experience, aptitude, abilities and training. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No computer skills are required. Physical demands include the ability to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear, work inside or outside as needed, stand or walk for several continuous hours, and be strong enough to assist in lifting patrons over barricades or from the floor. The salary range is $16.00 per hour. The essential responsibilities may be subject to change due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
