ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has immediate openings for Event Security at Old National Events Plaza. This position is responsible for maintaining high security standards before, during and after events, including theatre shows, conventions, trade shows, etc. Essential duties include greeting guests in a friendly, professional manner; operating walkthrough magnetometer/metal detecting wand; checking guest bags; maintaining restricted and barricaded areas; verifying credentials; monitoring crowds; responding to disturbances; assisting guests during emergencies; cooperating with other departments and vendors; enforcing facility policies; and exhibiting exemplary conduct and appearance. No supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, age 18 or older, ability to pass background check, customer service experience preferred, ability to listen and follow instructions, remain calm under stress, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships. Computer skills for scheduling system use are a plus. Dress code requires company-issued polo, black pants, and black shoes. Work schedule is flexible including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include walking long distances, standing for long hours, working outside in extreme weather, talking and hearing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to noise.
