Job Description

Looking for Bike Delivery Drivers:

Closing shifts (ex shift 3pm-9:30pm or 5- 9:30pm) and weekends (lunch and closing shifts available)

Bike Delivery Pay Rates: 

• $16.00 - $27.00 (potentially more with if able to ride with catering orders)
• $16.00/hr (starting pay) + tips

Tips:

 Averaging $8.00/hr but w/catering orders and great customer service, can earn more. 

There is no limit on tips earned.

Bike Delivery Drivers take tips home after every shift. 

Jimmy John's Delivery Biker's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quick as can be. We do this by learning the most efficient route, double checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for, and hustling on our feet (while always being safe and law abiding while on the street). 

While not on the road, Bikers work in-shop and get compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job , so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner
• Deliver sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner in established delivery area only
• Accepts payment from customers for orders
• Works with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales
• Makes fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches
• Complies with all portion sizes, recipes, and all systems and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including all tables, floors, windows, beverage station, restroom, etc
• Greets customers and takes orders - operates cash register - collects payment from customer and makes change
•  Executes genuine greetings and farewells
• Fills out system and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John's Dress Code
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
• Performs other related duties as required
• Acts and speaks in a professional manner
• Treats everyone they encounter with respect

Requirements::

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Work as an In-shopper when there are no deliveries
• Position requires bending, standing, pedaling and walking the entire workday.
• Must have an approved helmet, working brakes, safety lights & must follow all bicycle traffic laws of the city of Portland, OR.
