Salary Range $23 to $33/hour DOE

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION

Under general supervision of the Health Services Administrator, the Admissions Coordinator provides clerical support to the admissions program of the Health Center including intake functions, admission contracts, room readiness, tours, and other clerical duties. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

Essential Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. 

Work Duties

  • Provides clerical support for Health Center admission policies and procedures in cooperation with the Health Center Administrator to meet company standards and governmental regulations.
  • Assists with intake functions, admission contracts, room readiness, tours, and other clerical duties.
  • Adheres to HIPAA privacy rules and company policies, procedures and practices which require that resident-identifiable health information will only be used to perform the essential functions of the job;
  • Maintain working knowledge of, and assist in, accessing community resources;
  • Attends in-service training workshops and meetings as required;
  • Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, and co-workers;
  • Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;

Knowledge

  • Policies and procedures for procuring assistance for residents;
  • Policies, procedures, methods, and practices of the facility;
  • Records, graphs, reports, etc. used in the daily performance of duties;

Skills

  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation and public relation skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective verbal and listening
  • Proficient with the PC including the MS suite of products
  • Time management skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS  

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience/Training

  • (1) year of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities to perform essential functions of the position
