About the Role:

The Accounting Bookkeeper is an integral part of the Accounting department. This position will require a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask and practice effective time management. This position works onsite from our Mill Valley corporate office. Local candidates only.

Essential Functions:

• Process and compile weekly accounts payable.
• Timely and accurately process large volumes of bills, invoices, credits and statements.
• Review statements sent from vendors and work with account service for reconciliation.
• Communication, correspondence and follow through for vendor questions, inquires or concerns.
• Compile and verify weekly sales, inventory and transfer reports.
• Distribute raw data reports generated through accounting software to management, buyers, and other information users.
• Other bookkeeping duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a bookkeeper.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business.
• Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and deadlines on a weekly basis.
• Detail oriented, organized and efficient time management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Local candidates only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar role within a grocery store or market setting.
• Familiarity with Mollie Stone’s Markets products and services.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 10 lbs.
• Standing: Up to 2 hours per day
• Seating: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Walking: Up to 2 hours per day.
• Reaching: Up to 2 hours per day

About the compensation and benefits:

$26-28/hour
